Scrub Ridge Trail, August 28, 2011

We hiked a short distance down the nature trail, then returned to the area near the entrance, where there were a number of unusual wildflowers.

Golden silk orbweaver; banana spider (Nephila clavipes, Tetragnathidae)

There were many webs of this species of spider near the nature trail entrance.
